DACA - anyone have a non-stupid prediction of what Trump will decide?

I should have been more clear... in my comment the wall was symbolic for illegal immigration prevention.

If I had a magic wand though- and let's go ahead and assume that I don't- I would give trump money for a third of the wall and let his people put it where it is needed most.

And I would then take the rest of the funds and put it into fixing the visa overstay problem which is a complete mess and really where all the action is now and has been for quite a while. And guess what, as the wall tightens, visa overstays rise.

I am not going to do a full flame on it right now because people who follow it know how totally, totally out of control it is and how totally, totally, fixable it is- not 100% - but bigly in a way that reduces the numbers and sends the proper message to the folks back home- don't come. It just boggles the mind how little controls there are over visa overstays and how we have not even applied decades old technology. Every arrival should be coded in and with a scheduled departure date. No entry in the departure field in the database when the date arrives, then -BOOM- it cuts a work order to the locally or nationally contracted bounty hunters or some version of that. Right now the government just shrugs and waits for them to be arrested for something. Not always- so spare me that- but disgustingly so in general.

Not worried about losing again to a guy that won by 78,000 votes and has lost 10-15 points approval since.

The EC,gerrymandering,racists,democrats being concentrated into big city and states is a problem for democrats but the majority of Americans have voted for the democrat in the countrys biggest election in 6 of the last 7 elections.Trump is a one termer and all his EO's will be reversed in Jan 2021.

the gerrymandering was done by democrats too.

when in county after county they lose... to Trump....
you could argue with coverage like that the extremists are the blue areas.

If this is the case then it is all the more reason for Trump to force Congress to take action on immigration. The basic action of ended DACA but suspending enforcement action for six months -- sets the table for Trump to tell Congress bring me a DACA replacement as part of comprehensive immigration reform aligned my administrations initiatives. BTW - it better include funding for a wall.

Otherwise we will ship all the Dreamers to their countries of birth and citizenship directly after the six months expires.
