I think you're right.
LT is scary. SD's defense is questionable but with LT they can control the ball and the clock and keep their defense off the field. If they can get home field and not have to play in a cold road game, they are going to be heavily favored. Not sure how they would fair playing in New England in snowy conditions.
I say he is gone after his first pick. His confidence will get rattled after that and it's not worth it to keep him in there.
There is no way the Bears coaches will take out Grossman unless it is the result of an injury.
It comes down to this. He is terribly confused right now. He has said so in so many words in interviews. The only way out of that hole is by working through it. Since the Bears are in no danger of not getting to the post season at this point, they are "only" working for home field advantage. But HFA in the playoffs is of no use without a QB. Making it one round deeper into the playoffs is meaningless.
What is worse, imagine what happens if we take him out early and next year D'Angelo has no idea where he stands on his QBs? No, you have to live and die with Grossman, and if he sucks for all sixteen games, then at least you know where you stand. If he plays decent from here on in and takes you to a SB you know where you stand...
I think he has bottomed and will regain form at just the right time. Timing is everything, we want him to peak at the playoffs/SB...

You do not pull a QB who is 10-2. Period. I know he sucks and so does the rest of the league, but then why do they win games even when the defense does not score? If it aint broke, dont fix it.

With Indy going down hill, I doubt the Chargers will have to go to New England. Their only difficult game will be against Seattle. They should have no problem beating KC and Arizona. As long as they don't slack off because of overconfidence. Seattle is the only tough game they should have going out. They should have the home field advantage.
New England isn't in the clear at this point for their division. The Jets still have a chance. Jacksonville is fighting for the wild card, and coming off a win against Indy, they are going to need to beat New England in two weeks. The Jets chances are slim, but you can't count them out at this point.
If St. Louis pulls off a win tonight, they have a very good chance of getting a wild card spot. The Giants and Philly both have tougher schedules to finish out the season. A win tonight keeps them positioned still. They only have Oakland, Washington, and Minnesota to play after. Philly and the Giants have tougher schedules, as does Carolina. One negative for the Rams is that Philly and the Giants play each other next week which guarantees a win for one of them. Carolina has to face Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and New Orleans. It does not look good for them.
Being a former Denver Broncos fan, I assure everyone that Griese is a suitable backup if Grossman proves over the next two games that he's incapable of being a superbowl quarterback.
The Broncos fell apart under Griese and he came up under John Elway and an undisputably elite coach, Mike Shannahan.
Work through the pain with Grossman, he's still our best option.
