Cygnus E Transactions (CYGT) and Sykes/Cilantro Demise

Quote from TimothySykes:

Noooo, value isn't judged based on the returns of the subject;...

I am talking % Returns from Tim Sykes as Cilantro Fund money manager (not the book of excuses)...

Tim, you hint at giving up the Hedge Fund game in that shitty book: "As such, my Hedge Fund days are over..."(page220)
Makes sense, since most Funds close down when they know they will never get back to the high-water mark...

Show me where you're reading it online.

I could...but then I would have to kill ya.

EPrado is right Timmay, your book sucks even when it is free...

Could explain to ya but then would have to kill ya.......

I also remember reading in the book that Sykes said:"As such, my Hedge Fund days are over.."..(Book is poorly written and boring as watching drying paint).

Sykes, that loser said he was not like all the other Hedge Fund creeps, and would not shut down to avoid the high-water marks....

Well, no big surprise. Someone else said it best: Sykes:BadTrader/WorseWriter

Show me where I can give the book away free online.

Tim,
Why not just give us a free link to download the book. We all know it is not worth any real money!

It could be your contribution to ET after all the SPAM we had to get from you!

Have you known Timmay long? The reason I ask is that if you search ET with 'TimothySykes' and the word 'guy' you will find 44 hits.

I don't use the word 'guy' a lot these days, and I think it may be out of favor. Isn't it strange that both you and Timmay share the same choice of words and sentence structure? This combined with your only posts being overly supportive of Timmay....

Welcome to ET Greg!

LOL. Never met THE GUY, but I just love his book. Simple as that. I actually found Elite Trader by Googling Timothy Sykes and am laughing my butt off tonight at some of these people's comments about the book. It's clear they haven't read it because both my roommate and I love it and it seems like we're not alone, that is outside of Elite Trader.

If I had to guess, I would say all these people tearing Tim down here are probably just one or two guys.

I have to say that the reason I purchased the book was to see if Tim's many haters were right or full of it.

To everyone watching this debate unfold, read the book. Tim's cockiness has created got some hardcore haters, but they're definitely not telling you the truth IMHO.

FYI I don't know if Tim meant to portray it this way or not, but his downfall was due solely to CYGT, not short selling at all! If he had stuck to his discipline, he'd still be OK since he details his recent trades in (EFUT) and (CSLR). Both of those turned out to be very good short sells. Very interesting...
If you never met the 'guy' how do you know the details of his recent trades? I just checked and these trades are not in the book. You just happened to Google the book and then found this site? Very interesting indeed....

LOL, you just exposed yourself as not having read the book. Tim's (EFUT) and (CSLR) trades are on pages 208 and 209.

Tim, where are you, you have to remember this post!!!!!! I just exposed one of your haters as an outright liar!!! Busted!!!!!!!

I lost interest a chapter earlier after I read:

So, I wasn't very worried about the risk of default and I looked forward to earning above-average interest rates on my $25,000 loan.

360,000 shares at .33

SEC regulations prevented me from selling any restricted shares for another 18 months.

I wanted to impress my new investors with gains, so my fund made a short-term load to Cygnus for $250,000 because it seemed to be an easy way to accumulate added interest without much risk.

...so I invested $75,000 more in exchange for more restricted stock. Unfortunately, the other company insiders never came through with their side of the deal....

...it would only help my case if the SEC came down on me by claiming that I was advertising my fund to the general public.

I hope my story has shown you that any fool can get lucky and quickly make a great deal of money.

My greatest losses have results from trades motivated by anger, revenge and pride...

Be warned--- professional earn their living by preying on amateurs.

Come on Timmay, multiple aliases!!!! Good luck!
