OK, good, four no's would have been better but at least I know I'm not dealing with a Bible literalist, which is pointless exercise.
We'll take this step by step if you please.
Do you agree that the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere have gone up about a third over the last two hundred years and that the CO2 is mostly due to the burning of fossil fuels?
BTW, to answer the question of why I make such a big deal about this.
I have a BS degree in environmental science since 1977. I am not in the field but have a small trade business. I have seen the science on this develop over the last 35 years and followed it's research. Early-on there was good reason to be skeptical. But as time progresses, computer models prove-out, world temperatures increase, the Arctic ice melts, CO2 continues to rise and the oceans start to acidify it becomes inescapably certain. I'd rather it wasn't.
This may sound corny but I feel it is my civic duty to try and combat the huge gulf of understanding between the science and the public who get no info on this since it's so politically charged.
AGW is not the end of the world but it sure as hell is going to make it tough on mankind. And the longer we delay the worse it's going to be. If we are a moral people and believe in the core Christian principle of altruism we must shoulder this problem for the good of our great grandchildren.
And yes, I am a tree-hugger.
