Cutting Winners Problem

I don't use a flexible mindset, I use math. I calculate mathematically where the optimal exit is for every trade. In the long run it will beat your flexible mindset. At least if you did your math good. Tactics are adjusted automatically by math.

Flexible mindset and a mathematical approach are not at odds with each other. In fact, they compliment each other. I use my personal market sentiment to balance my positions as far as how many bullish vs. how many bearish.

Well each person has his own way to trade. I always go full in or full out.

Flexible mindset is good for developing a mathematical system, but once the system runs you should do what the math shows. So then no flexibility at all. If not math is useless as the results will no correspond with the stats of testing.
