No. As you said, the mean-reversion strategy is supposed to wait for the price to mean revert instead of cutting it short while it is doing it thing.

Stops hurt strategies.
We have conducted a lot of research on this.

I would be very interested in anything that would give a clue of a specific strategy not hurt by stops.

Anyway, "cut your losses short and let your profit run" != "use stops".
It's a common misconception though.

Depends on the market;
+ you made 2 statements that are different like a bull/bear trend.
OK here's a good one; semi liquid /LOL but liquid enough up >57.77% ytd/let the profits run/right?? Its a bull market you know/old turkey said /LOL.
But since I like getting paid about every week or month; cut the profits short in OGIG.Its not just the summer rally in spy/dow tends to turn a bit bearish/semi trade war also.
Do I care if its still goes up?? NO+ I may get back in again later...……………………………….
