Currently have SPY to trade options; How do I get to trade SPX via IB?

Currently have SPY to trade options; How do I get to trade SPX via IB?

I tried entering SPX in my quotes columns but could not access info - what am I missing...does IB want more money lol?

On TWS enter SPX then choose future options om drop down menu (can also do SPXW for weeklies and ES for minis)

You type ES then go down about 6 symbols to SPX index. Then
select options. You do not want SPX future options. For future
options go to ES and select future options. The micro 1/10
MES future also has future options 1/2 the size of the SPY options.

That does not work for me. If I type ES I do not access anything specifically called "options"...below is the actual popup i get. I fi choose "index" i getan erro message saying you cannot trade an index. Under futures i get choices for ES only.

If i choose "SPX" instead of ES I get access to futures...and if i choose Jun then it pops into my watchlist but then says trading restricted...

Maybe you don’t qualify for futures or have requested futures permissions but the drop down memos you post say future options. Why aren’t you choosing those. ?

pull up an options chain window and type in spx then choose index (NOT futures)
