Current Price $45 | Purchase Price $43 | Profit $5

1) How often does the "theoretical" ever occur in the market? .....?.....
2) ?......Never.
3) For me, if a trade is initiated as a covered call, I will only offset it as a covered call. You're telling me that you're willing to deviate by offsetting a "leg" of a trade, i.e. covering the call on a dip or rally and/or selling put options against the underlying. Then maybe you'll re-establish the covered call after a beneficial price fluctuation? You may be "good" but you're not "that good". Otherwise you should only trade outright price direction and not be bothered with spread-type positions. :)
4) I'm actually a risk avoider. You're definitely a risk seeker. That's the real difference
I really have no idea what you are talking about.
I think you need to re-read my statement.
You've got me doing spreads and selling puts???
Unfortunately I'm on my way out, so I'll be back later.

1) That happens around here on occasion. :D
2) Okay. :)
3) I may have slightly misinterpreted something in your first posting to this thread regarding put-selling. A covered call is a type of spread-position. You're "long" one thing and "short" something else against it.
4) Good call......and I don't mean options trading. :p

I can see you are not really familiar with option trading, so I will just let this thread go without further comment.
I never thought I'd look foward to reading diaoption for an intelligent dialog.
(Ok, maybe that was a poor example of seeking an intelligent dialog.):D

Yes, too much tryptophan. It violates natural laws! I had a 900-lot bond fly pin in 1999. A 30-wde CME spot fly that pinned to the penny. People do win the lottery.

Anyone who read the article would have seen the suggestion to look at ticker MNST.

But since Elite Trader members are very Elite and already know everything none of them even looked at MNST.

Where is it today?

$52 - $43 = $9, plus $3 selling calls.

Enough giving out free advice to world!
