currenex vs hotspotfxi

was going to post simultaneous hsfxi & currenex quotes, showing that clearly hsfxi quotes are more than competitive OUTSIDE OF FIGURES on ldn/ny timeframe, on qty as well (50mio or more) on all major pairs...

clearly hsfxi is not trying to compete on 1mio type baits... ppl shld use hsfxr for that... 5mio is the right min. size to compare the institutional platforms imo...

but on figures, pete, WTHF's happening with hotspot lately??? your platform's become totally useless, got worse since tradeview got launched... spreads of 60!!! on GBPUSD today for a few secs after the jobs & earnings figures, then 10+ for more than 20 secs, then 3/4 pips for more than 15 minutes after the figures... useless...

now why am i not posting the quotes as i said? cause yesterday night i cldn't access currenex from my home station, and i just tried right now from my office and their site is down again, got my guys to try as well, same result, can't get thru to my odl nor fxcmpro currenex logins...

i mean, doesn't sound too dependable to me...

taking off on hols for a week... good luck all in your trading!
 
I agree especially re figures and hotspot. These days when it is volatile hotspot is next to useless.

But currently (it is very quiet) my currenex euro dollar is 86 87 in 30*45 whereas to be fair hotspot is also 86 87 but in only 1*2.

in cable currenex is 1 pip but hotspot 1.5

Incidentally I have had currenex access all day today - no log in problems - although I did have one yesterday although it is the first time that it has happened like that.
 
Hi Lon Eagle. I'd be interested in your thoughts on how Currenex, Lava and HSFXi compare. I'm about to begin on HSFXi and was just wondering what I can look forward to.
 
I think currenex is great then lava and i do regard hotspot as useless for some reason.

However 2cents (whose view I rate) thinks hotspot the best so maybe i just have some in built prejudice!
 
Lon, today at 5:00 am est. the currenex website was down and there was no way to log in. And yesterday was the first platform failure on CX that I have seen in a loooong time. But it happens, we were trying to get in short yesterday to snag a big fat euroweasle, but because the quotes stopped being updated and some banks rejecting our orders, we had to settle for a skinny one at the end of the day. We had the order in but CX cancelled all orders that were made during the outage :D

I have currenex and it didnt go down today.

Surely yesterday is a classic example why you must have more than one outlet.

Looking back over some of 2cents posts, we seem to have both arrived at Hotspot va ACM. As such just using the ECN model is a relief compared to ACM, but I have to say the liquidity is a little disappointing.

I see Lava are planning on introducing the Rouble to their platform - that should be fun!
