Hi all, I am very interested in currency options, but it seems I am priced out by the size of the contracts. The smallest contracts are going for tens of thousands.

Is there any way for a small guy to trade currency options or is it any area that is exclusive to the big and mid-sized players?

You can always trade vertical and other spreads which have low margins.

I assume you are referring to currency futures options? Or are you referring to OTC forex options (which are not usually available to retail customers in the U.S.)?

There are also currency options traded on some stock exchanges (PHLX, ISE) and on currency ETF's.
