currency Options

Anyone trading these?

Are they safer for a newbie to trade rather than using Forex Futures or the likes of FXCM etc?

Thanks

It is safer to buy options than to trade futures, because you know with absolute certainty that you will not lose more than what you paid for the option, but I'm afraid the probability that a newbie can be profitable buying options is even slimmer than trading futures.

for years while also trading the underlying futures. They can be very useful and if you are thinking about trading currencies you owe it to yourself to get educated about options in general and see how they may augment your trading of the underlying, be it futures or forex. GL.

Eurodollar futures & options have nothing to do with currency/FX trading ...

Eurodollars are time deposits denominated in U.S. dollars that are deposited in commercial banks outside the United States, and they have long served as a benchmark interest rate for corporate funding. The Eurodollar futures contract, developed and introduced by CME in 1981, represents an interest rate on a three-month deposit of $1 million. The Eurodollar futures contract is now the most actively traded futures contract in the world. Open interest in the contract recently surpassed four million.
