Currency Correlations

Someone please answer this for this lazy chartist.:D

In my trading, I have noticed that when our markets are up.

Yen gets sold for Euros, Pounds and Dollars.

Norwegian Krone gets sold for Dollars.

But the Dollars gets sold for Euros. It would seem that Euros should also be sold for dollars.

I am missing something basic here?

You have heard of the traditional YEN "carry" trade?
interest rate differentials are important on the YEN pairs,
under normal conditions,
i hope that helps, or someone else may explain it better
