It was actually the 86' Mets......not 87'....But THAT was an unbelievable game and I trulythink this and the other series makes baseball viable again...this is a real shot in the arm for the sport because everyone is talking ....WOW man ...what a game we just saw and years from now, if the marlins do win it, you will be recalling where you were on that night.
Yes, it was a golden opportunity wasted last night, but screw that whole curse thing. Put this all in perspective, if I told you 2 months ago that the Cubbies would be playing game 7 of the NLCS at Wrigley with Kerry Wood on the mound, people WOOD probably be feeling pretty good about things. Last night is over, nothing anyone can do about it, move on, and take game 7. In the event that the Cubbies lose, I'd be selling e-minis like a fiend at the end of that game cuz if that happens there's gonna be some pissed off locals taking it out on the market tomorrow.
How can the Cubs win when even their own fans are sabotaging their efforts? If that ball in the eighth inning was caught for an out, the floodgates wouldn't have been opened and Chicago would've won!
