You are not typing code in the context of this thread. You are typing a mathematical statement to get a point across. If that is your desire, then use mathematical operands properly, as used in math101, not in some "Comp Sci 101 class".

! is the operand for factorials. So typing "blockchain != BTC" makes zero sense to anyone reading the thread on a purely subjective level, not only because it is the wrong operand, but because it is incomplete. You are saying that the factorial of blockchain is B times T times C. Or, bchain! = B*T*C.....and? So what is the factorial?

I know what you meant to indicate. You meant to indicate that blockchain is much more than just BTC. I.E., most cryptos are founded on blockchain technology, so bitcoin is not the only ctypto blockchain is. Most of us get that.

Instead of trying to be clever and couch it with terminology and symbolism on a medium you seem to not grasp the context of, and not understanding your whole audience, just type out what you mean in plain ol' text?

Regarding the whole "most people these days" would know != means not equal to. In my head it has always been ≠. So "blockchain ≠ BTC."

This brings up a thought... If that is indeed comp sci 101, is that a mandatory course requirement in primary schools these days?

It's called a hard wallet. Essentially a USB key.

If you lose the password or seed phrase you will not be able to recover your bitcoins on that wallet.

I know several programmers who do/did jobs for me and none of them could make any money in trading. That's why they are still programming and I am trading.

English is only the third language of the four languages I speak. I am sure that even in languages my level is far beyond yours. And the sentence you wrote was not correct in English. So maybe you should try a rudimentary English class to start.

Do you really believe that programming knowledge is essential to be a good trader/investor? Or that it gives you insights in crypto's? LOL.

I'm a dev, that is how I think and write. I don't believe we need to dumb ourselves down to the level of @schweiz. You have a point, but I counter that if we are talking about technology in this thread rather than ranting, then the mindset/terminology/jargon should be of that.

That's the way it is. However an alternative is to simply print multiple paper wallets and put them everywhere so you can't possibly lose them all.

Yes it absolutely does when it comes to crypto. Knowing if the project is complete vaporware or not is key to long holding periods.

Then again I don't expect you to able to read code. I mean it takes a IQ > 90 to do that. You are ok though, the world does need janitors.

I don't really have a dog in this fight, but "!=" is absolutely not in the everyday lexicon.

I saw it for the first time a week ago; I wrote my first program in 1983.
