Crypto Macro Trends for 2022

Minor update, sold 1 BTC as planned at a little over $25K to pay for the Coinbase fee, received net a tad over $25K
What kind of fee do you have to pay coinbase that would require you to liquidate part of your savings?

Sold the Bored Ape and acquired 3 btc's and put the rest in cash

Listed the Bored Ape a few days ago above floor price but someone bought it anyway (it has some rare traits)

Took a 20% loss on Eth price, but the real loss is on the Eth $ price decline of over 60%

The Bored Ape was a diversification crypto allocation to NFT, ETH, Crypto gaming and Metaverse

I'm still holding the Otherside Metaverse land NFT so technically still have diversification exposure to above but at a much smaller scale

---------

This crypto winter may last for a while and I have a difficult time calculating risk exposure on an illiquid NFT asset, and certainly not with as much locked value on a Bored Ape

Crypto portfolio is 17 btc total (2 at Coinbase) and a couple of NFT's with value

Billy thinks that owning a Bored Racist Ape , makes you some kind of idiot, win , lose or draw.
I have to agree.

I should say... didn't post this to celebrate or take entertainment from anyone's loses. Just knew it was coming... its what Bitcoin does. It was an expression of a child on a rollercoaster and I LOVE Bill Paxton.

Soon the weak and diseased antelope will drop away and the rest of us will feed on their bones.

Thanks for the info!! Yea, Bill Paxton was a great actor and died too soon, RIP...

If BTC was to go down to $10K, that would be in line with previous bear market peak to trough price crash of over 85%

I would prefer to wait until $5K/btc but I don't think btc may go that low. I'll start to add at $10K/btc

So far, we have not broken the previous cycle's high of $20K, I stayed up late last night but finally gave up and went to sleep. I just wanted to see it break, was not planning to buy or sell anything

The sitting out and waiting is the difficult part of being a hodler

Other people involved in cryptos are quietly building their projects, and in the past I had a job I could focus on... I should learn how to code so I can understand some of these smart contracts for the next bull market
