Crowdfund a trading account?

Quote from NoDoji:

It was amazing to me as a newbie in my first year of day trading. And Eric was kind and humble in replying to a question I had back then. Seems like all the really successful traders on ET have been that way. :)

You have seen with your own eyes in real time the fat tail RR my models delivered in the thread, yet the prop trading and the backers do not show any interest. Why? Because they know that their model is not about providing capital, or backing. It is about something else.

Teachers also hate my thread, because it makes them look idiots in the eyes of their readers.

Trading is a zero to negative sum game.

I've seen no such thing because your models do not appear to allow you or anyone to know in advance where you will enter a position. Prop trading firms and backers want to see an actual model in action, not you posting a trade entry after the fact and never posting the risk end of it (the price at which you'd exit for a loss).

My models tell me in advance where I'm looking to go long or short. I can (and have) shared that information here on ET. I've also shared my max stop loss, so anyone following a trade I call knows where I'll be stopped out for a loss.

Can you demonstrate something like this for even a day or two?

prop trading do not exist as people seem to understand it from ads/etc. Their model is to take traders deposits and use exchange margins, and call it "firm capital". Their profit centers are interest charge, commissions, and a cut on the profits of winning traders (who win by chance, until they lose, and others replace them).

Backers do not exist either. I believe people in this form are generally broke or of little means in terms of trading capital.

TJ, here's an example of my model setting up a positive R:R trade.

Post in real-time. I did not read past the first sentence, because because hindsight is irrelevant.

All my posts were in real time, including all my trades.

you have to licensed broker or investment advisor to solicit 'investments' or pushing securities. it's illegal for stocks. not for art projects. if you don't know financial industry is 'regulated' anyone selling investments to the public must be registered to finra, sec and pay a monthly fee for desk free and fee for malpractice like doctors or any profession.

Has anybody considered raising funds for a trading account through crowdfunding?
