Crooked brokerage employees.

The money isn't worth the time to go to that length...far easier doing other things.

For your benefit I will point out that there are addicts that will kill you for $5. Never underestimate how low someone will stoop and what little they will do it for.

You do see this massive gap in your logic, don't you. It goes something like "at least once x happened, therefore this highly unlikely outlandish thing I made up that contains x must be true." If you don't see it everyone else does, that's why everyone is so skeptical of you. It's you, not the rest of the world.

No, I had not traded at all. My guess is it was one of the brokers girlfriends and maybe she knew me or something. Whatever it was, someone said something to someone else when they should not have.

What'd you say back?

Edward Jones reputable enough for you?

This is very confusing. From what you said so far, I've constructed the following story.

You opened a trading account with Edward Jones. One of the brokers at Edward Jones was so impressed with your trading, that he asked his girlfriend (whose occupation was a prostitute) to seduce you and to make you reveal your trading secrets in exchange for sexual favors. When you declined this offer, Edward Jones hired some dudes to break into your apartment, and to steal your C++ code from your computer.

Is that right?

I killed her and put her body in the dumpster.
Just kidding. Most likely I kept walking. It was decades ago. Not a big deal but illustrates how casual people can be with other peoples data.

Get some sleep. Try again in the morning.

How did the algo stealing happen? You catch them in the act, or found signs of breaking & entering around your system?

Edward Jones issues standard shoes to all brokers, who are obligated to wear them. These are easily identified by the footprints around your computer.
