Puzzled why there is no mention still of this incident here, considering it involves 4.5 billion dollars of stolen crypto from Bitfinex. A long unsolved mystery that is now coming to light. I am wondering how much of this news may be part of the current bull-run again in crypto.

Furthermore, how does someone involved with a scheme of such magnitude, get away with a bail requirement of only a few million? I can only assume this self-proclaimed star has cut deals already to save her own ass.

We shall see what comes next.
 
This whole story completely undermines the premise of anonymous BTC. Every transaction is on immutable ledger. So yes, you can anonymously steal it, but it is very hard to anonymously spend it/wash it. At least in reasonably big amounts.
 
Thankfully they were 'foolish enough' to keep their keys recorded in the cloud, etc. so that the FBI could uncover most of them.

Still a chunk out there unaccounted for, but I'm happy to see a big bust like this. More is likely to follow.

Anyway, now instead of an unknown-rapper, she's a famous rapper. Hope she got what she was looking for...
