Indeed the history of slavery is taught in U.S. elementary schools. When it is taught in a manner that is appropriate for the age of the children and aligned with that school should be a "happy place" free of intimidation then there is no problem.

When teachers use CRT-based lesson plans to separate the students in the class on the basis of race calling some the oppressors and others the oppressed -- then these "equity" lesson plans are totally inappropriate for the children -- and only serve to demean and belittle the students.

This example is actually in London... but the behavior of left wing administrators & students pushing "safe spaces", limiting speech, and banning "microaggression" is the same nonsense seen on this side of the pond.

A comedian has pulled out of a student charity event after being asked to sign a contract banning him from being offensive about almost anything.

Konstantin Kisin was sent a 'behavioural agreement form' which stopped him telling jokes which were not 'respectful and kind'.

The form stated: 'By signing this contract, you are agreeing to our no-tolerance policy with regards to racism, sexism, classism, ageism, ableism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia or anti-religion or anti-atheism.'

Student leaders said the ban was necessary to preserve the event as a 'safe space' and a place for 'joy, love, and acceptance'.

But Mr Kisin, 35, who was born in the Soviet Union, said the demand amounted to a 'threat to freedom of speech' and pulled out.

The fundraising event, scheduled for January 23, is organised by the Unicef On Campus society at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), part of the University of London.

Mr Kisin was one of four comedians invited to perform unpaid, with proceeds going to the UN children's charity.

Politics student Fisayo Eniolorunda, the society's event organiser, wrote in the invitation: 'Attached is a short behavioural agreement form that we will ask for you to sign on the day to avoid problems.'

Actually nearly all the pundits are saying Nunes has very good grounds in his suit -- the actual intent of the suit is to blow the lid off of Twitter's shadow banning and political bias. His suit provides a significant number of examples and prior investigatory information. This will not go well for Twitter. I urge everyone to read complete information about this suit in proper context (meaning not only left wing biased media sources). This may be the point where social media companies are forced to turn the corner in their behavior.

Let's be clear a K-12 school should be a "safe place" for children that fosters learning. Elementary schools focused on young children should be a "happy place" which enables learning -- this includes keeping children fed so they can learn, etc. Keep in mind that this is long-term educational philosophy in the U.S. -- not just my opinion.

Adults -- in college -- should not need a "safe space". In fact the concept of adults expecting to have a safe space is absurd. As an adult you are expected to have the emotional maturity to be able to coexist with a difference in opinion. The fact that universities are pushing lists of banned words and "microaggressions" is the peak of absurdity. If universities are pushing banned words -- including "good morning" apparently being a form of microaggression then we should go to the university libraries and remove all the books which contain those words as well, eh?

You have yet to show any pattern of what you repeat over and over actually happening so I'd focus on making a good case it is or expect to be removed from the board.

yeah....fantasy is the right word because no school system or school baord has approved any curriculum that teaches white children they are oppressers...

What has happened is white parents on the far right hate it when other races get any progress so they want to cry that whites are being discriminated against so Karen and Ken can have their pussy snowflake feelings hurt...
