Critical Race Theory - Parents fight back

Good luck with your assertions. Good luck with convincing parents that CRT does not exist. A large cohort of non-affiliated parents voted for GOP due to the CRT issue -- which they see as obviously evident in education. The VA Governors race is about to become a national template for 2022 elections.

Good luck convincing Republicans that the election was not rigged, or that vaccines work, or that COVID is more dangerous than they think it is<<< your logic right now

Keep in mind it is the independent voters who are parents -- who massively swung the election to Youngkin in Virginia. These are not GOPers who believe the election was rigged or vaccines don't work or Covid is not dangerous.

Trying to lump these parents who are concerned with schooling in with GOP extremists is the self-inflicted election-fatal talking point by Democrats. Let's hope they learned their lesson that trying to tie every Republican candidate to Trump and GOP extremists is not going to work.

it is funny that you accept that thousands of voters can be convinced that an election was rigged, that COVID is a hoax, that the Clintons ran a pedo ring out of a pizza parlor in D.C., that jews have lasers in space..... but you think VA voters can never be dog whistled into believing in CRT panic in VA schools...

kind of hypocritical no...

A Judge would sustain an objection to your question...

Maybe these parents — many who are independent voters — are actually seeing what their kids are being taught. It not a “dog whistle” when it can obviously be seen in lesson plans. Not to mention it is now being seen as evidence in the courts — in suits the exact lesson plans, the days they were taught and in which classrooms.

The days where Democrats can pretend CRT is merely a dog whistle of the far right are now gone. The election in Virginia has established the reality.

All the parents were complaining about the potential of it being taught in the schools... they wanted Youngkin to make sure it was not going to be taught.... but overlooked the fact that it was not actually being taught and no VA BOE proposal had it being taught. Some far left people had batshit ideas but school boards implement curriculum, not lefty parents.

No one is pretending anything because the curriculums are public and all parents can see what their kids are being taught, it is not a hidden agenda at all. Youngkin tapped into fears of parents just like trump tapped into sore losers telling them the election was stolen. People believe what politicians tell them they need to fear and they are the solution to their problems.

Youngkin had the right approach to win this election but CRT was a minor part. He advocated for higher teacher salaries, more support for schools, keeping SRO officers in schools, and getting more supplies and equipment and supporting teachers while also letting parents know they have a voice. CRT was really not the main issue but GOP used it as a whistle to say "Look... CRT is being rejected!" Hard to reject something that is not being taught.

VA parents got riled up over nothing because there still is no CRT or demeaning children by race as part of the VA state curriculum and never will be..... GOP had a better dog whistle to blow than the Dems in VA.

What could the "doe" in "doe.virginia.gov" possibly stand for?

If you were an "independent" in the 2020 election, you're pretty much an idiot who'll believe anything.
