Seeing that every state has a State Board of Education working group which defines the curriculum for every subject at every grade level --- it is really not up to the parents or the local school board.
If you want curriculum change then vote for state leaders will drive that change. Most states have direct elections for the "State Superintendent of Public Instruction" or a similarly named position.
At the local level -- they are merely fighting over if school systems should use CRT-based lesson plans to apply the curriculum.

At best, you'll find I support publishers doing with their copyright material as they will. But no, I wouldn't want Mein Kempf on school bookshelves for the same reason I wouldn't want penthouse, or disparaging imagery of ethnic groups in children literature.
