"Within the last year, I was in one of my so-called equity trainings that White, Christian, able-bodied females currently have the power in our schools and ‘this has to change,’" teacher Laura Morris said during the public comment period of the board meeting.
"Clearly, you've made your point. You no longer value me or many other teachers you've employed in this county. So since my contract outlines the power that you have over my employment in Loudoun County Public Schools, I thought it necessary to resign in front of you."
"School board, I quit," she said. Choking up, she added: "I quit your policies, I quit your training, and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas to our most vulnerable constituents – children."
Morris, a fifth-grade teacher, also alleged that the county told her not to express dissenting views.
A spokesperson told Fox News: "LCPS does not comment on personnel matters." However, multiple teachers have told Fox News that they felt intimidated about potentially opposing the school's so-called equity trainings.

Morris' comments touched on a number of simmering controversies within one of the nation's wealthiest school districts. Most notably, the school district has been embroiled in a longstanding controversy over the use of critical race theory (CRT).
While the county has denied teaching the controversial ideology, its officials have acknowledged CRT influences their work.
"In explaining LCPS' equity priorities, it might be helpful to state what they are not. They are not an effort to indoctrinate students and staff into a particular philosophy or theory. What they are is an effort to provide a welcoming, inclusive, affirming environment for all students," said then-Interim Superintendent Scott Ziegler.
"LCPS' work on equity is a journey that requires the commitment of staff at all levels. I feel the staff's work, which has been sustained, honest and undertaken in good faith, has been misrepresented recently by some members of the public," he added.
Ziegler found support among some teachers and parents while others have vehemently expressed their opposition in recent months.
Teacher Monica Gill, who spoke at Tuesday's meeting, previously told Fox News that CRT had damaged the community by creating division.
She said that teachers were told to "disrupt and dismantle this systemic racism. And I can tell you, one thing that's for sure, it has been disruptive because there are parents who disagree with this ideology, there are teachers who disagree with it, there are students who disagree with it — and it is harmful."

A mother in Atlanta filed a federal discrimination complaint against an elementary school, alleging the school segregated students based on race.
"We've lost sleep like trying to figure out why would a person do this," mother Kila Posey, who is Black, told WSB-TV. "First, it was just disbelief that I was having this conversation in 2020 with a person that looks just like me — a Black woman. It's segregating classrooms. You cannot segregate classrooms. You can't do it."
"My community, had they known about this, would probably be extremely upset. Not just the Black parents but also White parents," Posey added.
Posey said that the practice was put in place last year at Mary Lin Elementary School by principal Sharyn Briscoe, who is also Black.
Posey explained that Black students were put in two classes with two different teachers, while White students were put in six classes with six different teachers.
She found out about the segregation when she asked Briscoe to place her child with a teacher who she thought would be a good fit, she recalled to the news outlet.
"She said that’s not one of the Black classes, and I immediately said, ‘What does that mean?’ I was confused. I asked for more clarification. I was like, ‘We have those in the school?’ And she proceeded to say, ‘Yes. I have decided that I’m going to place all of the Black students in two classes,’" Posey recounted of her conversation with Briscoe.

The principal reportedly told the mother that her child would be isolated if they were put in a White class.

Posey also recorded a conversation with an assistant principal, who confirmed it was Briscoe’s decision to implement the segregated classes.

"I just wish we had more Black kids, and then some of them are in a class because of the services that they need," the administrator said on the recording.
The school now faces a discrimination complaint, which was filed with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights. And Posey added that she wants the principal and her administration removed from their positions for the segregation.
"Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 says that you cannot treat one group of people differently based upon race, and that is what is going on at Mary Lin," Posey’s lawyer, Sharese Shields said.
The Atlanta Public Schools said it conducted and wrapped up an investigation into the concerns of segregation, adding that "appropriate actions" were taken in the matter.
"Atlanta public schools does not condone the assigning of students to classrooms based on race. The district conducted a review of the allegations. Appropriate actions were taken to address the issue and the matter was closed."
Atlanta Public Schools did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment on what specific actions were taken.
Briscoe also didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on the matter.

Seems the system worked and the school system stepped in and stopped the bullshit. Hard to account for some rogue teachers/administrators going off the rails like we have fucked up cops and politicians, but these are not systemic changes to education and the school system stepped in and put a stop to it rightfully so when the parents complained.
If you are school board member -- it's not a good idea to form a Facebook group whose sole intent is to track, harass, and threaten the parents & children who disagree with you fostering CRT on them.

You cannot petition to remove elected officials based on a disagreement over policy issues. THey can vote them out at the next school board election. Courts are not there to enforce a voters dispute over a policy decision. if she violaed school board protocols then the board can punish her as they did.
Barts was censured and removed from her comittee assignments ( In March, the board voted to censure Barts and Chairwoman Brenda Sheridan quickly followed by removing Barts from her committee assignments.) when this first popped up.
Proves the system works.
There are clear rules regarding conduct policies and open meeting laws for elected positions. Judges can remove officials from their positions for violating these laws and have many times in the past.

For example, the lawsuit alleges that Barts and other members effectively held illegal meetings by participating in exclusive Facebook groups and emails. Barts specifically has been accused of violating county policy by disrespecting fellow board members and showing a disregard for public concern on various issues. "
The parents are demanding a special prosecutor since "county attorney Buta Biberaj was allegedly part of ARPLC". Wow - -the county attorney was part of a group which a group whose sole intent is to track, harass, and threaten the parents & children who disagree with the school board fostering CRT on them.
