Critical Race Theory - Parents fight back

I only noticed the other post when I saw your response. Once again... there are entire threads dedicated to these type of posts that both posts are a better fit in.

Yet, you still respond, again, to me; rather than to the initial "violator."

We all have seen who you are. And we are not surprised.

Next you will be trying to claim this is some sort of "Cancel Culture". Good luck with your nonsense.

Cancel Culture is off-topic.

Still responding with off-topic posts to me; yet still, nothing said to the original violator.

Just own who you are; the type of human being that you are.

“As a district, we define educational equity as when educational policies, practices, interactions and resources a representative of, constructed by and responsive to all people so that each individual has access to, meaningfully participates in and has a positive outcome from high-quality learning experiences, regardless of an individual’s characteristics and group memberships.”

And this is why this is bullshit: you can't strive for all kids having "positive outcomes". We can strive to give everyone equal access to opportunities. But some kids choose affiliations (gang or otherwise) who negate or minimize the offered opportunities. Providing equal opportunities should be where our responsibilities end. What kids ultimately make out of them is their choice.

‘You Will Be Voted Out’: Former School Board Member Warns District About Promoting Critical Race Theory Without Involving Public
https://dailycaller.com/2021/06/08/wilson-school-district-board-equity-policy-critical-race-theory/

A former school board member warned a Pennsylvania district about pushing an “equity policy” without public involvement after the school faced backlash from parents who called it “Marxist propaganda,” WFMZ reported Monday.

Randolph Blatt, a former board member at Wilson School District, advised the board to be more transparent after state Rep. Jim Cox reportedly spread “misinformation” about the proposed policy.

“All I can say is that you better get the public involved in this because if you don’t, you will be voted out,” Blatt said. “You had no intentions of getting the public involved until recently because of Cox’s letter,” he said, according to WFMZ.

The proposal would “address, eliminate, and prevent actions, decisions and outcomes that result from discrimination and inequity,” and “enlist support of experts and stakeholders to assist school leaders in examining equity practices,” among other measures, according to WFMZ.

A second reading of the policy was pulled from Monday night’s school board meeting due to backlash by community members. Some parents criticized the school board during the Monday meeting, calling it critical race theory (CRT).

It was unclear what Cox’s letter said. He and school board member Steph Kocher were contacted for details, but did not respond in time for publication.

CRT holds that America is fundamentally racist, yet teaches individuals to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. Its adherents pursue “antiracism” through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies.

Often, CRT is incorporated into schools through diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies that prioritize equal outcomes among students instead of equal treatment.

The school’s first reading of the policy, which was conducted in mid-May, included definitions of “equity lens,” “educational equity audit,” “implicit bias” and “opportunity gaps.”

“There is a line between parenting and academics,” Heidi Zerbe told the board during the meeting, according to WFMZ. “Our tax dollars are being given to the Wilson School District with the assumption that you are preparing our children for the world of jobs. To spread gender confusion and racial bias, in my opinion, is abusive.”

Zerbe said “we are not racists” and rebuked the equity policies as “racist” for teaching children to only view the world through the lens of race and sex.

“Teaching a young white male adolescent that if he achieves anything, it is not because he worked hard but it’s because of his gender and color of skin — how is that building him up?” she asked. “If you tell young Black adolescents that they can’t achieve because they are oppressed, how is that building them up to achieve greatness?”

Carla Mannix, an employee at Alvernia University, said during the meeting that she approved of an “equity task force” to help carry out lessons on racism and “build an inclusive society,” according to WFMZ.

Board Solicitor John Miravich said there is no CRT in the school’s policy, according to WFMZ. Kocher explained the school’s definition of “equity,” and said the proposed policy would achieve the state’s standards for social studies.

“As a district, we define educational equity as when educational policies, practices, interactions and resources are representative of, constructed by and responsive to all people so that each individual has access to, meaningfully participates in and has a positive outcome from high-quality learning experiences, regardless of an individual’s characteristics and group memberships.”

Wilson School District is located in eastern Pennsylvania, approximately 7 miles from Reading.

School boards across the country have faced backlash from parents over similar policies, which critics have aligned with CRT, but that school boards have sought to characterize as standard diversity initiatives.

In Florida, parents in one district pushed the school board to remove the term “white advantage” from its “equity statement” after district parents rebuked the phrase as divisive and racist, and accused the school of inappropriately imparting personal political opinions. A PAC launched in May will also specifically focus on aiding school board candidates who reject the introduction of CRT at public schools, as many states have passed laws limiting or banning the teaching of CRT in public schools.

Do what?

Were you implying joining a gang is an avoidable choice all of the time because let me make you aware of something, it is not.

Gang membership is now often generational and geographical. Some parts of America are so dangerous because of the free flow of guns that joining a gang is actually a safety measure many kids have to adopt in order to protect themselves.

Let's see what other Critical Race Theory lessons are being taught in NYC schools...

Elite NYC Girls School Shows Students Videos Of White Women ‘Tarred and Feathered’

An ex-trustee of Manhattan’s Spence School slammed the institution for reportedly showing students video of white women being “tarred and feathered” in a Tuesday letter obtained by the New York Post.

“They sat there in their graduation dresses while the white mothers of the white students – many of whom volunteer, donate, call, email, and do whatever the school asks of them – were tarred and feathered in a video their teacher showed them. While their white female teachers were mocked,” ex-trustee Gabriela Baron wrote in a letter to the school, the New York Post reported. Students watched an episode of Ziwe, which “openly derides, humiliates and ridicules white women,” Baron said.

The video involved a conversation with women’s rights activist Gloria Steinem and 4 white women named Karen, the Post reported.

Megyn Kelly tweeted out a copy of the letter.

In the video, host Ziwe Fumudoh asked the audience “what percentage of white people do you hate? And there is a right answer” according to the Post. Fumudoh asked Steinem how many black friends she had, and proceeded to ask if she felt “empowered” after reading the lyrics to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP,” the Post reported.

To clarify the term ‘Karen’, Ziwe defined it as “obnoxious, angry, and entitled, often racist, white women,” the Post reported.

Baron responded to the video as “blatantly racist” and that the reaction would be much different if the discussion were about “Asian women, Black women or Hispanic women,” the Post reported. (RELATED: Public School In Virginia Holds ‘Antiracist’ Event For White People Only)

Baron removed her daughter from Spence and concluded the letter by saying, “Spence needs to do better than this, and I believe that the family of every student in that class is owed an apology from the school. Racism is racism.”

His outlet will never lie to your or misconstrue things:

I implied nothing. I said that gang affiliation is a choice. And what to do with opportunities, provided with, is a personal choice. A vast majority of the US or Canadian population wants a system that strives for equal opportunities NOT equal outcomes.

Joining a gang is not a safety measure or necessity. It is a choice and equally dealing drugs is not a way to survive but a choice to go the seemingly "easy route" in life to make quick bucks rather than working the tiller or bagging groceries at the local supermarket.

Were you implying joining a gang is an avoidable choice all of the time because let me make you aware of something, it is not.

The Left is trying to redefine critical race theory because they are losing
https://news.yahoo.com/left-trying-redefine-critical-race-174600042.html

The Left tried to use last summer’s momentum from the Black Lives Matter movement to push its destructive ideas of so-called “anti-racism” and critical race theory. Now, they’re frantically trying to redefine the terms of the debate, as the momentum has built up against them instead.

Liberals are now asking that you pay no attention to the curriculum behind the curtain. They have taken to insisting that critical race theory isn’t actually being taught in K-12 schools, even though there are clear examples that show that it is. The New York Times even wrote in July 2020 about the “anti-racism” programs being brought to parents and staff in various school districts. Another New York Times piece published just two weeks ago noted that critical race theory is a "framework that has found its way into K-12 public education."

The controversial, Pulitzer-winning 1619 Project, which was riddled with historical inaccuracies and crafted on the false premise that the American Revolution was fought to preserve slavery, has also been pushed into K-12 curricula. The project’s architect, Nikole Hannah-Jones, is among the many liberals trying to cast critical race theory in the narrowest terms possible.

She is trying to distance her shoddy “journalism” from critical race theory because the push against it is real and effective.

As with nonsensical definitions of "assault weapon" or weapon of war" in the gun debate, the Left constantly tries to redefine the terms of debate when they are losing an issue. Were it not for the shield of the Supreme Court, abortion would be far more restricted in the United States. That is also a losing issue for them, so much so that they must redefine the pro-life movement as “anti-choice" and abortion is a “procedure” or, more simply, a “women’s rights issue.” In recent years, they have tried hard to shift attention from abortion itself to birth control.

Now, they’re trying to erase their own connections to Ibram X. Kendi, Robin DiAngelo, and other racial hucksters whom they zealously promoted not long ago — people who, yes, have managed to worm their way into K-12 curricula. All of those school districts spending thousands on Kendi’s books, “anti-racism” programs, and bureaucrats with words such as “equity” in their title — now, these clowns want to make us all think that we imagined all of it.

This is obviously a good sign. It means that the push against these toxic ideas, from both Republican state governments and the concerned parents at local school board meetings, is working. Much like Hannah-Jones did in constantly moving the goalposts on the merits of the 1619 Project, she and other liberals are doing the same here because they are losing the fight to indoctrinate America’s youth with their toxic and divisive racial obsession. We are on the right path, and the push to reject these ideas must continue apace.
