It reminds me of racists saying they don't support racism but just change their vocabulary to urban thug youths. Or they say they support legal immigration but only if it upholds Western Christian values while maintaining pride in a separate heritage.
So? Ronald Reagan, George Wallace and Rick Perry used to be Democrats, what does that prove?
They are white and conservative just like the cons who cry about CRT.
Let's take a look at a list of politicians who were KKK members. Hey look they are all Democrats including Robert Bryd and others.
There is a only a single individual on the list of politicians who were KKK members who started as a Democrat and switched later to being Republican - David Duke -- of course during his KKK membership time he was a Democrat. "He left the organization in 1980. He ran for president in the 1988 Democratic presidential primaries. In 1989 Duke switched political parties from Democrat to Republican."

I will also note that North Carolina had 13 Democratic members of our state legislature in the 1990s who were in the KKK.

You need to understand that KKK members in rural counties in the South are still running for office as Democrats. North Carolina had two KKK members running for office as Democrats in 2008 and 2010 (I also posted articles about this).

As a follow-up can you explain why are KKK members still running for office as Democrats in 2010, 2012, and 2014? - one example. A second example. A third example. More examples.
I have explained in detail before the split between mainstream Democrats and rural Democrats in North Carolina in recent years. A split that caused the state Democratic party to go bankrupt in North Carolina and sell their headquarters. The turmoil also caused the 2014 Senate Campaign to be funded and ran by the Wake County Democrats rather than the state party.
If you think that Democrats in the KKK is not happening in recent years then you are sadly mistaken.
