I'd bet any amount of money... Russia, China, and probably one or two others... has "designer babies" that are probably 5 or 6 by now.

yup, I am curious to see how far we can take it post natal. I want to improve my bench press by 200 lbs, shave my mile time by two minutes, bump my iq 20 pts, and have a Louisville slugger in my pants.
In the end we will kill ourselves with technology. Why? Because humans will do human things, especially humans with power.
Rather than worrying about designer babies you need to worry about them giving your kids a penis on their head, making them retards, or missing limbs. As time goes on they will figure out how to make it express in a living human so it happens to you. I've been saying for decades we need to round up everyone that would do shit like that and put them in a land fill, but NOOOO because that includes 3/5ths of our governors and most of congress.
