You are living in fantasyland. Those days of "having the proper perspective" are gone forever.

When I was like 8 years old or whatever, I knew what candy cigarettes were for...EATING, not SMOKING.

Candy cigarettes? Training wheels to help pre-teens act as play smokers? I wonder if they still make toy guns or grenade lighters? Although a Pez Dispenser was legitimately a dangerous weapon if mishandled.

Am I living in fantasyland? It seems so, but what is the alternative? The present trajectory of “reality” points to a future where there is no accountability on any level. A future where success is not measured by hard work and dedication, but rather who you know and how much you can get away with. We will end up with a unproductive society with a standard of living to match.

So my contribution is to try to point out the obvious to people, some of whom are easily distracted.

For the record...If you are a Gen X, there's a damned great chance that your mom was a "teen pregnancy."

OMFG THE WORLD IS DOOMED ABORT ALL THE BABIES NOW THAT ARE IN ANY FEMALE UNDER THE AGE OF 20 YEARS OLD.

Because a teen pregnancy is any woman who is pregnant at 19YO or less. So I suppose they must all be aborted, at any stage of life. Because...I dunno, who commands this one? The Bible? The Islamists? Who is taking claim for that one?

I do find it interesting that you seem to have a Pavlovian response whenever religion is mentioned. Sure, there is hypocrisy when a pedophile Catholic priest only faces a transfer to a new congregation after he is caught or there are some, ok, more than some, Born Again Christians who don’t practice what they preach. However, overall, religion seems to be a net benefit for its practitioners and society.
