I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago for a few years and I had a lot of Italian friends. A few of them had parents in the mob.

Trump's "dire warning" and the message "we have to straighten out" if his conviction (the appeal) isn't overturned is the classic warning from a mob boss calling his soldiers to take action.​

Yet, so far, the "...we..." have been convicted, and sent to prison for crimes they committed in the name of Trump, and a few (e.g. former Trump lawyers) took plea deals for their testimony against Trump in the remaining 3 criminal cases.

Unfortunately, others like the MAGA followers will think they are needed to do something more sinister to stop a Judge or Juror. ​

Trump is fucked but we may soon be hearing about a Judge or Juror being assaulted or killed. Regardless, there is not going to be a good ending for Trump in any of his criminal trials.

I will mention that this legal action was one of the most questionable in the Trump arena. The facts in the original suit did not aligned with reality -- for example some of the dates where the teen claimed she was assaulted, it was definitively proven that Donald Trump was in a totally different state.

It is clear that she got death threats after she took the legal action. Still I think it was likely she was paid off before the 2016 election just to go away and be quiet.
