Longtime folks I know... they have been separated for a bit, but it's over and the divorce papers have been filed. She's a doctor, currently an ER trauma surgeon, but she has a few other surgeon type qualifications. Whatever on that, not important.
So... Apparently she came home last week , after dark... and make no mistake... we are talking an upscale neighborhood.... (allegedly... and I only say this because some are saying its bs) but allegedly someone had hidden next to the house, and came into the garage with a gun pulled as she had pulled into the garage and had already hit the down button with the door closing.
According to her, she freaked out, but at least had the presence of mind to hit the lock button on the car, slammed the thing in reverse, and hit the gas.
Needless to say, the garage door didn't fare too well. I assume the top of her car didn't either.
The cops are supposedly scouring doorbell cams... but the ex says she's a drunk and it's bs.
Since I know both... I'm gonna say I believe her. You can't fake that level of being spooked. And that's scary. Plus it was shortly after documents hit the public records.
Beats me either way.... but I will say this.... I think she's telling the truth. I mean for her to concoct a story like this to cover up a f/u like that.... one could easily say a dozen things. "I hit the gas as I was backing out." Or whatever.
We'll see what the cops find out... but that's pretty scary.
My takeaway.... more than ever... be aware of your surroundings.
