Credit Card debt? acn't pay? Don't pay!

Quote from killthesunshine:

JUST PAY YOUR GODDAMN BILL!!

Strangely, this government nor the big corporations follow that logic. The banks certainly don't. Nor do the execs who run those banks.

Neither do the big businessmen nor the ultra rich.

Something to think about.

if you have credit card debt and cannot pay due to job loss or some other reason, just don't pay. simple..

So this person plans to never work again? Good luck with that one. They will be waiting for the time the freeloader IS working and garnish the wages. etc. etc.

Quote from negativetrend:

Your a joker. Most states ya can't garnish wages and they can't take what thay can't find regardless.

Little corporate bo peep keep chiming in...

Credt card companies fucked america, now its time to fuck them back

"Your" uniformed. Once a credit card company has a judgment, they can indeed garnish wages and clean out your bank account. The only way to avoid it is go BK.

But you don't have to take my word for it, just try it. Free money, right? Go for it.

:D :D :D

yeah, but the credit card company does'nt own the debt anymore, they sold it. will the collection agency spend the money to get a judgement for 6k?

I think we went over this before, so it's obviously bothering you. Get the $1000 - $1200 necessary for legal fees AND FILE CHAPTER 7 NOW. Get it over with and move on with your life. There's no shame in bankruptcy, it's a business decision. Jesse Livermore did it, as have a lot of successful people. You can't move on and be successful while you wait for the statute to run out and then hope that the collectors give a shit if the statute of limitations ran out. Even if you are working part time at McDonalds you can have the legal fees within a couple of months. Do it, wash it down with a few shots of bourbon, and forget it.

Try reading the link before you use it as a trump card. You are COMPLETELY incorrect. It only discusses the federal and state by state laws abuot how garnishment is handled. Says nothing that most states disallow garnishment

A writ of garnishment is one method a creditor might use to recover unpaid debt. Federal law exempts from garnishment 75% of disposable earnings per week, or an amount up to thirty times the federal minimum hourly wage (currently $5.15), whichever is greater. Some states still have wage garnishment laws in place; however, when the federal law provides a larger exemption than the state law, the federal law supersedes the state law.

The links below are to debt laws in all 50 states, including wage garnishment amounts, maximum interest rates a creditor may assess, and statutes of limitations on collecting debt.

LMAO indeed. What a grade A moron, can't even read. How embarrassing, must be time for another new alias. LOL.

it's funny how deadbeats with no sense of money management always say they're the victim of corporate greed, when in fact they're a victim of personal stupidity.

how come the majority of us aren't "victims" of these same cc companies? probably because we have budgetary discipline?

We can read, comprehend and add. Basic skills clearly not shared by all.
