Credit Card Companies Plan On Punishing Cutomers Who Don't Carry Balances

Nope, by my logic "people that live in a glass house should not throw stone at others". Republicans complaining about spending is similar to a guy that volunteers at a domestic abuse center during the day and goes and beats his wife when he gets home.

I don't understand where the animosity comes from.
My first credit cards many years ago had an annual fee. Then some years later I received offers for new credit cards that had the same terms but no annual fee. I did not demand that the CC companies send me these offers, they sent them to me by their own choice. Now, I don't know about you but it seemed to me that the better "deal" was the CC's without an annual fee so I switched cards.
Then some years later, again unsolicited, I received offers for CC's that not only had a lower interest rate, higher credit limit and no annual fees but also had a cash back program. Again, the choice to me seemed obvious and I switched CC's.
In the future if CC companies change their terms and/or offers, I will continue to choose the option that makes the most sense for me. I don't see this as "punishment". The CC company has to determine what is the best way for them to make money. Once they decide their terms I will then decide which CC I will hold if any.
However, to somehow blame those that make the best use of terms offered (not demanded) is ridiculous.

In addition, no need to feel sorry for those with CC balances who are getting abused. If you don't like what your CC company is doing to you, PAY OFF YOUR BALANCE! Can't? Well then, shame on you.
Nobody forced a "credit card balance" lifestyle on anyone.
