Quote from Trader666:
Who the hell are you to lecture anyone? If you're so smart then why is your life such a mess? Oh I forgot... you're a victim. It's everyone else's fault.
Get your facts straight. It's NOT a fact that 90% of black people don't tip. It may be that 90% don't tip you but only God knows what the actual number is. While we're on tipping I said I wouldn't tip YOU. And maybe they complain because the food or the service sucks or because you have a lousy attitude.
Your analogy shows a typical victim's mentality. Everytime I've gotten a mortgage not only did I only do so only on terms favorable to me, I made sure the contract I was signing reflected it. Victims sign contracts without reading or understanding them and then whine when the lender acts within the terms of the contract they agreed to. Or maybe they can't get favorable terms as a consequence of their own bad choices but because they can't acknowledge their shortcomings they blame the lender. The same with credit cards and oh BTW they don't always raise rates simply because they can (which is the victim's view); often it is done for actuarial reasons.
I think you're massively naive and massively in denial about anything you're not naive about. Grow up and take responsibility for your life and don't blame your situation on everyone and everything else.
Boy your really losing it. You must be banging on your keyboard.
How would you know who tips and how much? You seem to know a lot about the restaurant industry for someone who appreciates those people so little. Your telling ME why or why not people donât tip or complain a lot? Thatâs sort of like me telling Tiger Woods how to play golf. Maybe some people are a lot like you. I know your type. You stiff the pizza guy and everybody asks why and you say, âwell I already paid for the pizza and he should get a real job anyways. Besides all he did was drive his car over to my house and give me the pizza.â
I just googled âblack people donât tipâ. 11,000,000 returns. Wow it must be my service. You obviously donât understand the service industry. I have delivered pizzaâs to the far end of the delivery area in 15 minutes and gotten stiffed and had the customer complain about everything. Then Iâve delivered pizza's that were an hour and 15 minutes across the street and gotten $5 and the customer said donât worry about the delay. I take care of my customers because I want them to order again. Donât presume that just because someone doesnât make money doing something, that itâs because they didnât do something right. I would say that 80% of the time the tip is decided beforehand. Either they already have the money ready when I get to the door, or the tip is already on the credit card that they used on the internet, or the customer had no intention of ever tipping in the first place. I could probably tell with 70-80% accuracy how much someone tips just by looking at them. Sometimes I can just look at the order and the house and what kind of cars they have and know beforehand. So your logic just doesnât add up. Here is an article about tipping.

You keep referrring to a âvictim mentality,â yet havenât addressed one point of mine. Again Iâll list a few. Just pick one, anyone, and address it.
1. The past 30 years has seen an incredibly high increase in the cost of living making it very difficult to get ahead.
2. The past 30 years has seen an incredible tightening of the job market. This has led to much lower wages due to the over supply of workers seeking jobs.
3. The baby boomers have benefited greatly from the inflation boom that my generation now has to pay for.
4. Most of the debt that people have incurred has not been finance extravagant lifestyles, but rather to pay for such things as medical care and ever increasing cost of living.
5. Credit card companies change the rules in the middle of the game. They can change you interest rate for any reason and at anytime. The entire minimum payments go to interest and therefore the debt is nearly impossible to pay off.
6. Banks and the Fed are allowed to print money out of thin and stick the little guy with the bill through higher inflation. Then when they canât get enough, they get the government to give them a bailout.
If the CC companyâs jack the interest rate to 30%, thatâs ok with you? How about 50%? How about when your employer not only never gives you a raise, but actually decreases your pay because they donât care about you, even though youâve been a faithful employee. Is your response to everything going to be to work harder so others can benefit from my work?
