Higher rate of return...At some point it becomes gambling/gaming, rather that investing/day/swing trading.
You do not see the grime of day trading. I am not a day trader, but I know a few. The hours they put in...And fail.
I was a farmer...My dad told me 40 years ago, "I never saw a successful part time farmer...I just didn't see it". If you were/are a farmer or general, I think you can relate.
If you can not answer a simple question like how an IRA or 401k works...You need to go back for basic schooling. Take a night course at a JC/community college on investing.
I'll share a story of when I tried to be my own general contractor.
Bought a cheap property backing the freeway in a decent part of town...I was a Realtor and could find deals. Tore down the old building, leveled, did the compression test. I submitted my commercial plans (California)...For a pre fab building. The county accepted them and approved them. I got the plumber to install the underground plumbing. In the engineer's plans it called for black PVC pipe though out. The county had accepted the plans!! After the plumbing was done, the inspector said I needed copper though out the building~~The plumber said he was going off of the plans. Neither the plumber or the engineer accepted responsibility for the error. The county insisted on copper...So I had to pay for it to be torn out and replaced with copper!! After the shell of the building was put up, I sold the building (unfinished)...Was trying for "build to suit". I WAS OUT OF MY LEAGUE...
An attorney here in California, just passed away a few weeks ago. I believe he was in a wheelchair almost all his life. What did he do for a living?? Sue anyone he could find who was not following California Commercial Code and was violating ADA...He made a good living at it!!
That was such a hard lesson to learn...But valuable.
Was thinking of this video, knowing what you don't know...Your move chief.
