Crazy paper trading day

I'm glad I was asked to make that trading timeline. I never fully realized how correct I was in my long-term predictions on my losing trades (the oil, the gasoline, and the EURUSD). I never fully understood how completely irrelevant long-term position/swing trading is with all this increased leverage.

Are algorithms the only way to try to get a handle on the markets in the short-term? All that randomness when you zoom in on the chart. Reminds me of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle.

By George he's got it...

That's why keeping a Trading Journal and reviewing it is so helpful.

If I were to pick one flaw with my trading psychology at the moment... It's that I would never be satisfied.

Let's say I "shot for the moon" and was successful/lucky once and made a quick $80,000 in 3 seconds...

That's more than an average salary in the USA in 3 seconds, but I wouldn't be satisfied. I'd keep trying for more and more and more until the law of averages says eventually I will lose.

I need to find a good balance between hedging risk but not hedging it so much that it takes away from potential gains.
You need to write into your trading plan when will you stop trading :)
