Crazy paper trading day

Seriously, fvck off and get a life. You're obviously a loser.

Ouch, that doesn't sound like a cool, calm and level-headed reply. I hope you don't talk to your subcontractors like that.

And, in fact, I gave a rosy compliment:

keep trying to remind you of this but you're stubborn, pig-headed, and determined. That's not necessarily bad, in fact it's probably good

Tomorrow morning 8:30am.... I have my (paper) strategy I'm testing.

Just prior to the news release, I will set a buy order just above, and a sell order just below, one cancels the other. Then, there's a TP currently 20 points away.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning so unfortunately I'll be driving when the markets open at 9:30a, but I will guess that whatever way the price moves immediately after the news at 8:30, the market will make a move in the same direction at 9:30.

So my plan worked! (Paper)

I set my OCO order. It hit my sell order at average 3994.29166. Sold a blink of an eye later at 3961.5 (which was actually wider than my target of 20.0 points). So profit of 32.79166 points just like that. What a great plan! It would have been even more except my phone clock must be slightly off from the clocks they use on Wall Street because I was narrowing the OCO "brackets" as it approached 8:30am and I was a split second away from getting the sell order narrowed further.

Now I'm leaving it alone until just after 9:30, where I predict we will have more downside. There had been a lot of hope moving markets up over the past few days. It was at 3800 not too long ago.

As i have said before, this will only work in demo since your fills aren't realistic.

With real orders you would probably have been filled near the low of that drop based on the news release.

A micro could take care of this aspect while minimizing the dread / greed contest, lol.
Not for making any money per se, FJ but a bargain way to keep the execution mechanics real.

Exactly, that's what he should do.

But apparently he is a multi millionaire not willing to risk $100 to see if his strategy actually works, instead he is bragging about a few $K paper profit.

This is the most hilarious excuse I've heard too... I didn't set my alarm. Traders computers are synced within millisecs and poor FJ didn't set his Timex :(

I've already done this strategy for real in Schwab. I'm not willing to subscribe to any platform until I know 100% which one I'm going to end up using.
