Internet the Greatest Threat to Christians. why? because people can educate themselves and dont have to swallow the bs fed to them in churches:

Atheists and skeptics now have equal access to our children as we have, which is why the number of Christian youth who believe in the fundamentals of Christianity is decreasing and sexual immorality is growing, apologist Josh McDowell said.

Now here is the problem,” said McDowell, “going all the way back, when Al Gore invented the Internet [he said jokingly], I made the statement off and on for 10-11 years that the abundance of knowledge, the abundance of information, will not lead to certainty; it will lead to pervasive skepticism. And, folks, that’s exactly what has happened. It’s like this. How do you really know, there is so much out there… This abundance [of information] has led to skepticism. And then the Internet has leveled the playing field [giving equal access to skeptics].”

Kids don't go on the internet to seek out the truth. They download music, play games, face book, then maybe watch porn. The biggest threat to the youth in America is from the public school system passing out the kool aid.

so, you dont think its useful to kids to be able to get on the internet and find out that the preacher is blowing smoke up their ass when he tells them that they are going hell for dancing or listening to rock music?

Yea, it's useful but kids just do not do that. Kids are trying to figure out where they fit in, not whether its the truth. The agnostics and skeptics should groom their own kids, not mine.

At any rate, the author ( preacher) does what he does, preach.

i suggest you not lie to your kids. if you tell them there was once a talking snake they will lose respect for you when they figure out the truth.

I think you might be right, but not for the reason you give. I think it has more to do with distractions, strong distractions, that take the mind off higher things, for too long, and so create habits that are for the many too hard to change. A related example is that of kids, particularly toddlers, raised in front of a TV--it wires their brain in a different way. So far as I've heard, that "different way" is not good.
