She died over 10 years ago unexpectedly, so you're right, she did leave him.

My poor dad had to learn to take care of himself.... she did everything at home for him. But I think it mellowed him out... he used to be very angry while my sister and I were growing up, so my poor mom lived in an unhealthy environment. To this day I still think she knew she was going downhill and could feel it in her body but just didn't mind if she went since it would have been an escape. My dad isn't a horrible guy, just the product of stress and not knowing how to deal with it.

I am an incessant troll when clowns expose themselves. I want them to think twice before engaging. I am more active when I am actively trading. I took a couple of years off of ET when I was low-freq and investing outside of vol when I had a big 2018-19.
I was in med-school when my parents got sick. Flying with my mom to UWash for SpA immunopheresis and dad to Dana Farber for 5-FU and some drug trial.
I was short VX/short ES 2x1 and long SLs today. Big day.
Sorry to hear that the treatments for both of your parents didn't seem to help much as you said they died within months of eachother. Did their deaths have anything to do with my you aren't a doctor now? I got the impression you were always in finance since this is what your dad did, even though he had a major setback and lost all the money from what I recall.
Sometimes you do get it wrong though. A few weeks back you were making fun of @Laissez Faire , and I talk to this dude every now and then. He seems totally legit to me and just trying to make his trading work. You made fun of him, if I recall correctly, for being up a decent amount that was good for him, even if its tiny compared to your gains. I just don't understand why you would shit on somebody for making what to them is a nice gain, even though this might be tiny for you.
I understand if you troll someone making outlandish claims, and we do appreciate you exposing people here for that. But when you attack someone for what to them is a good day, well, that just seems more of a bad reflection on you to be honest.
You're clearly way above average in IQ, and way above networth than most on here, even I'm sure above Baron, but why you need to use this as your flex, I really don't know. I mean sometimes its funny, but to me, it honestly points to some insecurity in you. I'm clearly nobody to be preaching, and like I say, very often you get it right, but it just rubs me the wrong way if you attack a guy with a small account trying to make trading work. I do actually think overall, your intentions are actually noble, so its strange to see you lash out like this.
Anyway, just some observations from a lurker that don't mean much. Keep up the "mostly" good troll hunting!

@LF approached me in a PM years ago fronting earnestly and asking for advice. I offered some advice and the dude immediately went to the ES Journal talking sht about me. I would not attack the guy other than to say that I know he's not trading (ET's Deep Throat) so I question the motives. He'll deny it, no problem, but I will produce the PMs if need be and then it's on. I don't send PMs. If you're going to go out of your way to f*ck with me I will make you miserable.
I've got four kids now (one from college relationship) and am basically nothing like this IRL.
In my estimation something approaching 90% of this board is either not trading or isn't profitable. If you're going to go 10-20Y trading one lots or micros (in today's mkt) then I am doing you a favor by throwing cold water on your bullshit.
