cramer

GREAT book by one of Cramer's "Traders":

"Trading with the Enemy" by N.W. Maier.

Seems to confirm most folks (on this board) view of Cramer as an 'Insider Info. Hound' vs. much of a trader.

Quote from vhehn:

cramer said on kudblow and cramer tonight we are going up 1000 points to 9500.some day he might accidently be right maybe this time.

By James J. Cramer
A Thousand Points of Dow
It's not just wishful thinking; just look at the solid stair-stepping action we've gotten.

cramer called 9500 again tonight on the show. hes looking good so far this time. the market seems to be building strength here. we will also have all the breakout players chasing the dow now that it broke out today and held. i wouldnt want to short this market other than quick scalps without some kind of weakness showing first.

I believe so. I cross-checked "Market Wizards" and "Pit Bull" somehow (can't remember right now) and felt sure it was him.

Puhleeze, Cramer's just another talking head, paid to spew out the kinda stuff the amateur trading audience tunes in to hear. Maybe this is what his script outline looks like:

Give predictions.
Mention "Bull market's in the air".
Buy [stock] now.
Sell [stock] now.
Predict the Dow by year's end.
Predict recovery by next half.
Cash check.

People like that stuff. Real trading tips, like "limit losses", they wouldn't be able to handle, you know that. Makes them tune in, ratings go up, as ad revenues are tied to ratings, revenues go up. That's what its about. AttractAudience = $$.

Otherwise, you really think they need to pay Maria B. to tell us that "the market is poised to open higher/lower" every morning?
