By the way, IB application is a resource eater. For example, I went to their website and just left a browser there, my CPU usage went from 1-10% to 40-50% range. The test was made under Dell Pentium 4 @ 2.66GHz 1.5GB RAM, GNU/Linux FC5, Firefox. I hope they don't use the same design style for TWS as for the website.

- Try to see the responsible process, someone has already pointed out how to do so in the previous post.
- Contact IB if the responsible process belongs to IB's application.
- Try to run a defragmentation of your hard disk. It's slightly improved but not much.
- Try to detect whether your computer is infected by a virus or worm.

Don't run the ad-ware, destroy this program. Ridiculously, the anti-spyware is the spyware in itself. Run Yahoo anti-spyware and cleanup from time to time is a better option. Can you snapshot the CPU usage window and include it in your next post. Don't worry too much about the spyware, president Bush has a bill for that.
By the way, try a FreeScan provided by McAfee.
where the Trojans reside. I guess another anti-virus company do exactly the same job.Quote from alanack:
Could you be more specific about Ad-Aware? What do you know about what this program does that it shouldn't be doing?
