Pro-Trump group deletes image mocking masks after co-founder dies from COVID-19

In the wake of the death of its 80-year-old co-founder of complications from coronavirus, the pro-Trump student group Turning Point USA deleted a tweet that mocked the wearing of face masks, Business Insider reports.

Bill Montgomery’s death was announced on Twitter this Tuesday by the group’s chairman Charlie Kirk. On the same day, a tweet popped up the TPUSA’s timelines that featured an image of actor Nicolas Cage and the message “me not wearing a mask while a leftist screams at me from their car from across the parking lot at whole foods.” The tweet was deleted by Thursday morning without explanation.

Kirk’s own messaging on safety during the coronavirus era has been mixed. While he has urged people to wear masks, Kirk has also said that mandating them is wrong. “Do not force me to wear a mask. It’s that simple,” he said on his podcast this Sunday. “I’m not going to do it. I’m not.”

Another tweet critical of masks was posted by TPUSA last Wednesday and still remains up on the group’s timeline.

I suppose the perp will claim to be the victim ... :vomit:

Police in Hackensack, New Jersey, said a woman was assaulted in a Staples store on July 29 after asking a fellow customer to wear her mask correctly. BY HACKENSACK POLICE DEPARTMENT VIA STORYFUL

Video released by a New Jersey police department shows a woman thrown to the floor after asking a fellow customer to put on her face mask inside of a store.

The assault occurred Wednesday at a Staplesin Hackensack, which is about 15 miles northeast of Newark. Police are now looking for a woman who broke the leg of the woman in the assault caught on video.

The victim in the assault, described by NorthJersey.com as 54-year-old Margot Kagan, was using a fax machine at the store when she asked another customer to put on her mask. Video shows the suspect wearing the mask, but with it below her nose.

The suspect is seen in the video approaching Kagan. She then grabbed Kagan’s arm and violentlythrew her to the ground.

None of the other shoppers or employees in the store immediately came to Kagan’s aid, video shows. One woman was nearly hit by a plexiglass divider that fell when the suspect bumped into it.

The suspect is seen briefly leaving the store and then re-entering as Kagan requests help from others nearby.

Kagan, who underwent a liver transplant four months ago, broke her tibia in the fall, according to Storyful.

She told New Jersey’s News 12 on Thursday she is in “a whole different world of pain” while sitting in her hospital bed.

Police are searching for the suspect, who they say is a Black woman, 5 feet 3 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and around 180 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 201-646-7777.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy has signed an executive order requiring people to wear face coverings while inside public places.

Anti-lockdown right-wing Texas lawmaker nearly dies of coronavirus

Republican Texas state Representative Tony Tinderholt — a right-wing politician who has vocally opposed Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s statewide shutdown and mandatory mask orders — has nearly died from the COVID-19 coronavirus. He is the first-known case of the Texas state legislator contracting the potentially lethal respiratory virus.

Tinderholt, who had previously compared the shutdown and mask mandate to “government overreach” and “socialism,” said that his first symptoms of COVID-19 consisted of mild joint pain that turned severe, bad headaches and a loss of taste and smell. Then, his symptoms took a turn for the worse.

“I truly thought last Friday was gonna be my last,” Tinderholt wrote to the Texas Tribune. He told the publication that he and his family had been wearing masks in public even though he himself had proposed calling together a special session of the Texas legislature to overturn Abbott’s executive order making mask-wearing mandatory for all Texans.

“I would like for people to try to mitigate risk by wearing masks,” he said. “But wear them because you think it’s right. I’m sure it works to some degree — it just didn’t for me.”

The president has the Coronavirus. Oh wait wrong idiot prez, wrong country:

Belarus President dismissed Covid-19 as 'psychosis.' Now he says he caught it

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has said he contracted coronavirus but recovered without suffering any symptoms, state-run news agency Belta reported Tuesday.

Lukashenko has repeatedly dismissed the threat posed by Covid-19, touted home remedies and refused to shut down his country, making Belarus an outlier in Europe.

"I apologize for my voice, lately I have to talk a lot. But the most surprising thing is that today you are seeing a person who managed to power through coronavirus standing on his feet," he said during a visit to a military base, according to Belta. "Doctors made this conclusion yesterday — it was asymptomatic."

The LAPD received a call about the large party about 7:30 p.m. Monday on Mulholland Drive in the upscale Beverly Crest neighborhood, according to the LA Times. The shooting occurred about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.

A man who said he was working security for the party said it was being thrown for an unidentified NFL player, CBS Los Angeles reported.

In a video one reveler posted to Instagram, about 20 gunshots could be heard, followed by chaos as partygoers tried to run for safety.

The three people who were shot were rushed to local hospitals, where one person died and two others were in critical but stable condition, the LAPD told CBS-LA. A man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s were among the victims.

A fourth person suffered a non-firearm-related wrist injury while escaping the mayhem. None of the victims have been identified. It was unclear if any suspects have been arrested.

Kennie Leggett, who told CBS-LA that he was head of security for the party, said it was thrown to celebrate a player recently drafted to an NFL team, but did not elaborate.

“We have money. We are people. This COVID, I mean, is just pushing us out everywhere, and we have nothing, so the only thing we do have is Airbnbs to rent swimming pools for our kids, to do big things and things of that nature,” Leggett told the station.

The company that manages the rental property said that it had advised the renters that the party was a serious breach of the rental agreement and asked them to vacate the property immediately, CBS-LA reported.

The Sun reported.

Tinderholt said he is recovering after receiving medical treatment from a North Texas doctor. He said he spent several hours in the hospital and received an IV and medication there. He and his family wore masks every time they went out in public because they felt it was the right thing to do, he said.

From the article. Wow, sounds like a close call with death! "Nearly dies...."

Several hours in the hospital and an IV!! Oh, and he got medication too! Holy crap.

And then there are people like a healthy guy in Calgary who got Covid, was in hospital for 25 days mostly in an induced coma close to death and survived. 6 months of physio now, starting to regain his walking skills still has nightmares periodically about the whole experience. On your stats, he would just show up as one infection no death. Yet his experience was very real and a cautionary tale for those who think middle aged people are safe.

Well, sad to say but the wife actually qualifies as a covidiot. Hard to believe.

David had suffered a fall in late March that forced him to be hospitalized and then go into a nursing home to recover, Stacey told BuzzFeed News.

He wanted to go home but with his injury, health condition, and the risk of COVID-19, she and his son thought he would be safer if he stayed at the nursing home. It was a difficult decision but Stacey said she was worried that if he returned home that she could catch the coronavirus — perhaps on a visit to a supermarket — and infect him.

A lockdown soon came into place at the nursing home. "He stayed there and I would go and visit, and just go to the window and we'd yell back and forth at each other to talk," she said. "We'd kiss the glass to give kisses to each other."
Then in early July, David got sick and was taken to a local hospital, where he tested positive for COVID-19.

Stacey said doctors tried Remdesivir, plasma therapy, placed him on a ventilator, but her husband's condition only worsened.

I guess all the covididiots on this board are going to go for Remsdesivir ++

This is all you need, AT THE ONSET OF INFECTION. (Bottom part)
