It *may* help even without Zn. Let's take the case of cross T-cell reaactivity. It can cause the cytokene storm which leads to pulmonary damage. If hydroxychloroquine is given early it ameliorates this T cell activity and the storm is prevented. Of course, the other parts of protocol are very important and instrumental.

A "study" can be designed to support any pro or contra bias, depends who is paying and how much money is involved. As my radiologist friends say: "Depends on who is reading it..."

My personal theory is that without extra zinc it still can use the zinc already in the body. Thus people who zinc deficient (most people, but specially old ones) can't get the advantage of taking HCQ, thus it provides no benefit, muddying the water.

But your theory is as good as mine, and that is how HCQ was originally "discovered", doctors noticed that patients taking HCQ for other purposes had an easier time with the virus.

1. If you can tell in advance which patient will survive in advance, I want to start a diagnostic company with you right away. We will be rich! In all seriousness, this virus is famous for making patients to turn suddenly more sick around the 7-10 days.

2. Asymptomatic people either don't go to the doctor or they don't take meds for their non-symptoms. Specially not HCQ.

2. Because of #1 it is only effective in the early stages. Once the dude is on a ventilator, the virus is all over the body, it is too late.

3. If someone is bitching about HCQ because Trump mentioned it, fine, just use other ionophores like Quercetin or EGCG. HCQ is the most effective though.

TL;DR: Drink green tea (EGCG) and take Zinc. You will thank me later.

Nobody is stating the HCQ is preventative... the BS is that it reduces severity and duration of symptoms, you utter f****** m****. No prophylaxis via HCQ.

Actually, the Chinese did. That is how the whole thing started. They noticed that lupus patients who took HCQ either didn't get infected or had a very mild infection.

Everybody is harping on HCQ when itself it is just an ionophore for Zinc. Zinc is the heavy lifter and doing the blocking. If you are so against HCQ (perfectly understandable by the way) just replace it with EGCG and/or Quercetin and you will thank me later.

So the news came out yesterday that Trump is taking HCQ AND Zinc. Zinc was just casually mentioned, but is an important part of the treatment combo.

Now if you get infected but taking the ionophore+Zinc combo your initial viral load will not get multiplied and your body will be able to overcome the virus' attack.

It is really that simple. I can't simplify it even more. So we are saying goodbye to each other and don't forget to put on an arb before you make a coffee.
 
CoQ10 is a potent ionophore as it doesn’t kill the fucking patient with long QT arrhythmia you fool. No evidence that chloroquine works. The legitimate studies have shown that outcomes are worse due to the instances of prolonged QT cardiac events.
