Dr. Marty Makary, who has been pushing a number of questionable COVID claims while promoting Trump-supported COVID responses. He had a previous piece in the Wall Street Journal in February making the same claims -- including the claim the U.S. would reach herd immunity by April. It appears that Marty Makary is doubling down again. Recent articles from him appears to be just a re-write of the previous one with a desperate reach to find some additional information to support his assertions -- including the cherry-picked data from the California Department of Public Health found in his second paragraph.

As noted earlier - Marty Makary claims that 10 people are infected for every case in the U.S. for COVID is not true. There are only 3 or 4 people infected in the U.S. for every known case. This is due to the U.S. having large amounts of available testing. At the beginning of the pandemic in the U.S. the 10 to 1 factor may have been true when there were limited tests available, but has no longer been true for at least eight months. Dr. Marty Makary claims about the infected percentage of people in the U.S. is not correct -- now he is trying to support it with cherry-picked data that only shows sections of crowded cities where the infection rate is much higher than the rest of the country.

Coupled with this is the fact that in 40% of the people naturally infected with COVID their antibody immunity falls within six months to a level where they can easily be re-infected. Once again Dr. Marty Makary is pushing malarkey. Let's take a look at information from 4 infectious disease experts debunking his earlier WSJ assertions on this subject.

My point, it seems North America either is better at keeping statistics of hospitalizations involving those not vaccinated, those partially vaccinated and those fully vaccinated in comparison to the United Kingdom.

Yet, it's odd that the United Kingdom is good at tracking the number of fully vaccinated versus the number of partially vaccinated but not doing such when tracking their hospitalizations unless there's better info available about such out there.

Some of you Covidiots are talking about the United Kingdom whereas some of us Americans are talking about the United States in which +99% of those hospitalized are not vaccinated.

I have no association nor relatives in the United Kingdom. The clusterfuck there is something they need to deal with.

Herd immunity does not mean that no one gets the virus. As I have indicated prior, we reached herd immunity on the initial strain on Dec 20, 2020. Subsequent strains have been much much less lethal. That's saying a lot since the first strain was not very lethal to begin with. Wuhan-19's mutations are endemic and will be here as far as the eye can see. Each year there will be new variants just like occurs with the flu. It's time to get back to normal activity. Pay attention.
 
Vaccinated are getting back to normal.

In contrast, those not vaccinated and not exposed recently to Covid infection, are worried that they'll be the only ones in what's left of a Pandemic while the rest of America begins putting their life back together.

I'm fully vaccinated. Fuck those hospitalized because they played Russian Roulette with their life instead of getting vaccinated and all those posting misinformation / disinformation about vaccines.

The only ones I show compassion for are those that are young, disable, and those with a shitty immune system because of an underlying medical condition that is being put into danger by those that are not vaccinated.

Last, of all, there's still a lot of bullshit about Natural Herd Immunity. If it was true...those not vaccinated would not be +99% of those currently being hospitalized with Covid in the United States of America.

Simply, vaccinated herd immunity is the key as the data has consistently been showing in 2021 in the United States of America.
