FWIW, I have no problem with the mask - I won't leave home without it. I do balk at shutting businesses down without adequately compensating business owners and the workers. I do not think it government over reach to make family Thanksgiving meals illegal. But I have seen enough to indicate to me that ths disease is as real and as deadly as it seems, and therefore requires a national, not state-level public health response. This response does not need to be unduly restrictive. We could all just social distance when among strangers and wear a mask.
Covid-19 is not a hoax. It’s a real virus, apparently more contagious than the regular strains of influenza we have floating around the globe. That being said, it’s a novel coronavirus, man hasn’t contacted it before and to 98-99% it’s nothing more than the regular flu. 30-35% of those contracting the virus don’t even know they have it.
If you have underlying medical conditions you need to be cautious. But that same cautionary approach has always been there, every year we vaccinate our elderly and those at risk against the flu. Every year to some degree, some years much worse than others, we see influenza wreak havoc in society, from closing schools, filling hospitals, etc.
The MSM induced panic and Governmental overreaction is the problem. Yes we need to protect our “at risk”, but this thing is going to make it’s way thru society, no lockdown will stop that, vaccination will help. But mark this post, the vaccine will not stop this virus. It will become a part of our yearly flu shot and we will continually be dealing with it. We will learn to deal with Covid and over time we will build a natural immune response to limit it’s effects. We are in the process of a learning curve on dealing with a new virus.
Every country is having to fight this virus. And just about the time they think it’s under control here comes another wave. It has to work it’s way through the population, we’ll all at some time be exposed.
Shit happens, we will survive. If you want to be mad at someone, get mad at China for letting this thing out of a bio-lab.
