That's the Death rate of people that have been tested, arggghhhhh!! 99% haven't been tested!

So out of 653K tested, there were 32K deaths. What else could that figure represent? That 653K were tested, so 1% of their population.

So you understand, people are being fed the wrong info and passing it off as Population Mortality rate, when it's just Case right ??

Most of other the other 99% have likely had the virus, but not bad enough to require hospital care and therefore didn't get tested.

Of course the number of people tested inluence a lot the death rate, in Spain it came down from 12% during the strict lockdown to around 1% now.
Obviously many more people are tested now, but not all, and many cases are with mild and no symptoms. Last week government sent sms notifications to residents of a confined area with lots of covid cases, hoping to test the whole population over a few days.
The first day around 33% of the contacted folks came for a pcr, in the second day it was around 28%. Most youth and middle aged here know several people who have caught covid and for the huge majority it s a very small issue, especially in their age range. I suspect they don t want to get quarantined 2 weeks and more along their close contacts in case they test positive, besides being just upset over their head with this mess.
So death rate from positives should be below 1% even in a country with old folks like Spain and a healthcare that hasn t shown up to par( it was declared the worst country in Europe for the collaboration between private and public sector during the covid crisis for instance)

Still a political circus here, last week central government stepped on the regional government to impose new restrictions ( confinement) on Madrid, canceling at the same time past resrrictions imposed by the regional government ( bad for me, good for a lot of folks from Southern Madrid) this needed to be approved by a tribunal before authorities cluld enforce thos confinements with fines but today that same tribunal cancelled the decision from the Central government. Not clear whether the older restrictions are back into place...
No doubt the next few days will be full of news... we need to keep up to date here to make sure we are allowed to step outside our house and cross the street if it s depending on another public health center...

Seriously, 1% is wayyyyy over the top, look at Sweden no lockdown to pretend to stop the virus 0.06%. Your still talking Deaths/Cases, not Deaths/Population.

Spain and UK getting a mini 2nd wave just from the 1's who hid away Sheilding at the like, likely a lot of Flu deaths added in there aswell, for more FEAR!

So it's below 0.1% with good health care and below 0.3% without good health care ( Newyork 0.2% shit health care ).

Sweden also means, none of the lockdowns actually achieved anything, all over reactions and nothing that'll actually stop a virus spreading.

Face Masks, I approve of, they create great little micro climates for virus's to live and multiply, which gets us closer to herd sooner Bad Side is Colds and Flu's are going crazy in the UK currently, weird that, hmmmm!

UK's got to be at 90% had or can't have from a previous Corona infection, it's the T-cells that's the missing number which is being worked on to support this soon.

Paris, Marseille and Brussels hit by serious restrictions as well, despite having I think less cases than Madrid.
Spain got the strictest ( most criminal) lockdown in Western Europe last Spring, many are overly fed up and the damage has been tremendous. So there is serious resistance at the moment. Sweden approach makes sense " we adopt lighter restrictions so people will be able to endure them for longer".
Big political fight in Spain atm, not impossible the Central government tries to declare again the State of Emergency and lock everybody back in their house, just to show who s the strongest to opposition's led Madrid. Disgusting.
Madrid politicians need to be careful at what they do, and made sure to say they were not in "Rebellion", implemented the new measures without much might and waited for the tribunal's decision, which came in Madrid's favout. Catalan leaders got 9 to 13y jail terms recently and some of them are in asylum after they pushed for independance.
