...Just followed Quebec in Canada, life hadn´t changed much there afaik, dunno abt VAncouver, I´d be pretty pissed as well if living in the UK or Melbourne, although theose places usually don´t have much to envy to the rest of the world..
I live in both Québec, Canada (primary home) and Chicago, Illinois (2nd home / vacation home) and home in South France.
Yet, as soon as the Pandemic was announced...I stayed put here in Québec, Canada.
- Life has in fact dramatically changed here in Québec, Canada.
Yet, I'm more dependent upon my relatives and friends to tell me about what they're experiencing in Chicago and South France considering I'm not able to travel there to experience it first hand.
Québec, Canada and South France have completely different healthcare system than the United States. Both should / has done much better than the United States.
The biggest difference is the
culture and I knew on Day 1 of the Pandemic that the U.S. would do poorly...
Socially Irresponsible.
The other key issue on Day 1 of the Pandemic is the
leadership that the U.S. would do poorly. Also, Canada and France both had a Pandemic plan from prior administrations whereas the United States abandon (tossed it aside) their Pandemic plan from the prior administration and then attempted (still doing it) to create one on the fly.
Enormous mistake.
The 3rd biggest difference is the
inequality within the culture that the United States has the greatest issue with and lack a great understanding how it impacts the country during a Pandemic.
In the United States you're going to see or have been seeing more civil unrest dealing with inequality / racism. Whereas in France and Québec, Canada the civil unrest will be more about every thing else and less about racism.
My point, there's been dramatic changes here in Québec, Canada but the restrictions has been more tolerable by its citizens / residents...due to more socially responsible people even though Québec has the worst Covid-19 statistics than any of the other provinces in Canada.
Québec is doing poorly
within Canada because of a few culture differences that's very similar to France.
