Covid exposed

I was exposed at a friends house about 17 days ago, no mask. I was there about 20 min and did not get it. I got tested 3 days after he told me and tested negative.

Now its getting crazier down here. More and more of the people I know are getting it, some not bad some ICU and emergency room (young and all). Hospitals are super backed up.

I dont know what to believe anymore but please take care of yourselves.

Last test was abouy six months ago and was good. Four years ago at the onset of my Afid I was deficient in many vitamins, minerals, and extremely protien and magnesium deficient. This was the result of a crazy diet and a exercise program geared towards someone half my age. I had a goal in mind and nothing was going to stop me. Afib stopped me.:banghead::banghead:

There are still people on here saying the virus is a hoax, it's a political issue, or that the lock down was never needed ( or for just 3 weeks ). Of course, there are people on here who said US indexes would crash every year from 2010-2013, and that the SPX is going to 1000 or lower this summer.

It's unreal how Americans have responded to this. Meanwhile, our local hospital has no Covid patients at the moment.

Employee tested positive today so the place is shutdown, and I will do the responsible thing and self quarantine for 14 days. Might get tested in a couple days to see what's what, but can't see doing that right away unless symptoms occur.
Expect 14 days of rants as I'm stuck in the f'n house.:(

Maybe we'll get less snarky posts from you about how silly people are wearing masks. This virus is like one giant social experiment and we get to see how well or how badly people operate in a crisis with uncertain outcomes. And no, the correct answer was never to ignore the virus or claim it's like the flu.

Masks have nothing to do with this situation. Mask or no mask, one person tests positive in the companyn the whole place gets shutdown, everyone goes home for 14 days and is told to self quarantine. Alternative as we were told is the entire place needs the specialized deep cleaning, employees get tested, all negative tested can come back to work before the 14 day period. I suspect that will take several days as this company has 5 different buildings over several acres of land. Considering the employees get full pay while off I doubt many of them will return prior to the 14 days, test or no test.
To your point, wearing a mask is not part of the policy to shutdown or not. It's the positive test that is the sole determining factor. Personally I wear masks where it's required, and don't where it isn't. I have been consistent with this position from day one.

It has been made into a political issue. However I started this in chit chat to try and discuss this without the political narrative if one of us gets exposed. It's just about sharing information. Are you incapable of separating politics from any aspect of your life? There is a Political forum for that. Please use it to unload your diatribes as will I. This spot is just for sharing info. I am one of the least political people on here concerning the virus. If we want to be clear here, it is Americans that have turned a medical issue into a political one. Oh I known your freedoms and all. Meanwhile most Canadians just followed medical advice and gave the lock downs a chance. That's all I have to say.
 
Went and got tested earlier today. Was told results would take about 7 days due to the rise is cases and testing, so the self quarantine remains. No symptoms at this time. Test was slightly uncomfortable but not all that bad. The hour wait was the bigger pain and that was with an appointment.
