The effort marks a new phase in the U.K.’s human challenge trials, the only Covid-19 studies in the world intentionally exposing participants to the virus with the goal of developing new vaccines and treatments. Other researchers are also isolating and growing Covid variant specimens for study. U.S. government-funded scientists are producing variants for research, but not for use in humans, a National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases official said.

Two Covid challenge trials sponsored by Imperial College London and the University of Oxford started earlier this year in the U.K. They so far have exposed more than 40 healthy, young volunteers under isolated medical supervision to the original Wuhan strain that circulated widely in 2020.

First let me mention your math is nonsense... the claims you are making regarding myocarditis are not factual.

First let's start that there have been a minimum 34 deaths in the U.S. military from Covid so far.

"So far, the military has reported 34 deaths from COVID-19, for a 0.01 percent death rate. While it’s still far lower than the overall U.S. rate of 1.7 percent, that rate is 25 times higher than it was last year."

Deaths caused by myocraditis are rare. The huge majority of people experiencing myocarditis fully recover. A tiny percentage of deaths involve mycarditis - which demonstrates death related to it is rare. Trying to claim that 66% of people with myocarditis die from it is laughable.

Sounds scary.

Statistics are a funny thing: Based on the headline, would it also be true that Covid deaths, known to be defined loosely, that Covid related deaths did not rise by 50% in 36 states? In fact, could Covid deaths have actually declined in some states? What is the average base of these 14 states? Three deaths rising to five is not that scary, a 66% increase, especially when considering all the other causes of death in the US, including sepsis. I mention sepsis because any vaccine that lowers ones immune system may increase the chance of death among those who subsequently get sepsis. Sepsis is a fairly common cause of death, especially among older people. What if we were to apply the same statistical methodology to other events, such as automobile accidents or number of flatscreen TVs falling and killing toddlers? Might it be possible similar sounding statistics be created that could help push an interested party’s agenda?

"The rate of Covid-19 deaths has increased in 42 US states in the last week, according to new data, as the spread of the more virulent coronavirus Delta variant has upended a spring of reopenings and led to increasing concern headed into autumn."

And then you can check out the rest of the article including the link to the John Hopkins data.
