China is always playing the long game but they play the intermediate game too which puts them ahead of the west, particularly Americans who have the attention span of hummingbirds.
The intermediate game that China is playing in the next couple months is to get WHO approval for two of their sixteen vaccines. The sinopharm one and coronavax, I think. They dont care about anything else, so don't be surprised if they lean over backwards to give the air of cooperation with WHO while they are doing the "investigation." They don't give a shiite about that. They know it will all be '"inconclusive" and maybe a rap on the knuckles. Then they get on with their longer term task of colonizing Africa and South America, which requires them to have dominance with the vaccines so that they can be the good guys with the goodies.
China owns the WHO. And the Europeans and Biden and the Bill Gates of the world see the WHO as a holy global institution. The virus has been a gift from the gods for China. All is good for them. As far as the eye can see.
