If the government is solely responsible for the economic hit people are enduring, then it is the governments responsibility to make them whole again.
No matter what your argument, that it had to be done or that it was a political overreach for more nefarious reasons it doesn't matter as it was the government and only the government which has caused this economic crisis that so many millions of people are experiencing. They broke it, they must fix it. Where does the money come from is the question? Their answer of course is it will come from the very people who are taking the hit in the form of more taxes down the road. My answer would be to tax the corporations who have prospered as a result of this government sponsored shutdown in their behalf. My answer would also be that every governor, every mayor, every senator and congressman who heavy handily ruled by decree should be forced to resign.

The "wartime profiteering" by some - Amazon and Walmart being Exhibits A and B- is pretty much off the charts. The government just handed them most of the business in many towns with no requirement that a percentage of their profits be redistributed back into the town for business and humanitarian relief. Fucking Amazon already doesnt pay any taxes and the government regulations handed them what little business they did not have on a silver platter.

We saw Narrative 2 at play last week. Pence takes vaccine. PENCE = BAD. The lefties criticized him for the jumping the line thing.

Now today, we see that Joe is taking it ahead of Trump so they will toggle over to Narrative 1
