The forum's chief advocate for more dead Americans is beginning to self-stimulate as usual.
Most people are hoping to be able to get a decent mask at some point. Not Here4Bullshit. He just wants to get his wig and dress so that he can in the lifeboats first.
To be fair, the United States has had arguably the worst response to Covid in the western world.
The spread is only mitigated by the most crude measure of isolation. We are basically in the same boat as people were under Justinian’s reign.
The tracking and tracing component is non existent and never was. We are still only testing to identify illness and have no strategy to control spread.
Our only hope is that we can wait out the first wave and regroup in the summer.
Hoping to get a decent mask in the midst of an out of control pandemic is a poor fucking shame for the most powerful country in the history of the world. We have fallen.
We have established once again, then, that Joe is your man.
He is a born leader and has everything on his planet under control. Wherever that is.
The jury is still out on this. Right now all these other countries that you allege are light years ahead of us do not necessarily share your joy. You and your "woke" ilk would still be receiving travelers from Italy and China if you had your way, so as to not be racist and xenophobe. Idiots.
The jury should have never even been convened in the first place.

And then there are other lefty buddies such as the Swedes who are basically still running an open economy and have not gotten into any serious separation or isolation and they are proud of it. The jury is still out on that too. Regardless of how it works out for them we know they will still be good, and Trump will be bad.

So, we are not Europe but for the most part Europe is doing a better job than we are with Covid.
Federal leadership continues to fail as we are seeing spread into the south and the Midwest now.
Wanting to be the president and actually being the president is two different things. From the outset the mismanagement and undermining of the severity of the crisis we faced led to inaction which allowed this virus to spread with almost no mitigation.
Senators were selling stocks while making public statements downplaying the threat we were facing. The president called Covid a democrat hoax and said we would have zero case because it would disappear like magic. Fox News and Limbaugh were selling this as no worse than a cold or flu. Yet here we are with 100k to 200k estimates on fatalities.
Bird admitted this morning we did not enact social distancing early enough and Faucci admitted we can’t test in any way to control spread.
The whole White House effort or non effort is a failure. The constant fighting with governors and the press, the constant lies and failure to prepare.
This is the biggest shit show in modern history.
