COVID-19

I was fine calling it the "Wuhan virus", changing that to "China virus" was a clear political move to pander to a base, since dropped by the WH after having a talk w/Xi. There are tons of viruses from China, calling it "china virus" isn't nearly specific enough to identify COVID.

So I'm with Bill on this one 3/4 of the way.
In case you didn't know Covid19 also stands for:

Chinese Originated Virus December 2019.

The Wuhan virus became the China virus when the Chinese communist party wrapped itself around it and made deception about it a national goal and effort.

Stop licking the balls of your chinese puppet masters. This is not MSDNC here.

You are right though when you say "there are tons of viruses from China." Might want to think about that.

The first case of novel coronavirus was reported in Wuhan, China in December 2019. Those early cases have been linked to a live animal market in Wuhan and has been since spreading person to person. The virus has since spread around the globe. First showing up in the United States on January 2, 2020, in Snohomish County, Washington.

Anyone else standing back for a second and thinking how something started in Wuhan is 3 months later in 150+ countries as well as every single state of the U.S. It is in hot and cold climates.

Kind of shit you see in futuristic movies about how a virus spreads (I Am Legend, 28 Days Later, etc.)

I mean from December to March it spread so fast everywhere....scary and impressive. Think about that for a moment while bitching about what to call out and who failed to prepare for it.

Pretty impressive and also shows how connected we all are. I cannot find a group of contacts that isn't affected.

High school FB group - 1 dead and 1 in ICU both in NJ

My business - close employee brother in law dead and sister in quarantine in NJ and NY.

Local Worship - email went out about 2 to 3 members in hospital in D.C. and VA.

ET - Tony

Family in Madrid - 2 people in cousins building dead

etx...

We all could probably make the same list.

Results in CA so far...

My wife - negative
Co-worker - negative
Friend who had it for sure.... Negative Positive, Negative, positive
My wife asked the lady at her testing center.. as of yesterday around lunch... one positive since they started testing earlier in the week.

my wife paid 80 dollars for the test.
If I were to pay for a test I would make sure I knew which lab it came from and that it was approved by the CDC or the FDA.

I would expect the quality of the tests varies. Apparently there are dozens of companies jumping on this.
